The Janome Heavy Duty 9 QC Professional takes the proven high-speed straight-stitch platform of the HD9 series and adds features specifically aimed at quilting, precision sewing, and demanding projects.

At speeds up to 1,650 stitches per minute, the HD9QCP can make quick work of long seams and piecing while still giving you control through its electronic foot controller and speed-control slider. Its heavy-duty painted aluminum construction provides a solid, stable sewing platform, while the industrial-style 1.4X vertical full rotary hook is designed for high-speed performance.

Floating Mode: More Control Over Difficult Layers

One of the biggest additions to the HD9QCP is Janome's Floating Function Mode.

Floating Mode allows the presser foot height to be adjusted from 0–3 mm, allowing the foot to float over the fabric rather than applying normal downward pressure. This gives the sewist another level of control when working with quilts, bulky seams, specialty materials, and projects where traditional presser-foot pressure may not be ideal.

The standard HD9 Professional and HD8 do not offer this function.

Ready for Free-Motion Quilting

Unlike the HD9 Professional and HD8, the HD9QCP features drop feed, making it easy to transition from conventional straight-stitch sewing to free-motion work.

Even better, Janome equips the HD9QCP with a much more complete quilting accessory package right out of the box.

The Convertible Free Motion Quilting Foot (QC2), Open Toe Foot, 1/4-Inch Seam Foot and Ditch Quilting Foot are all standard equipment on the HD9QCP. On the HD9 Professional and HD8, these four accessories are optional.

The HD9QCP reaches an impressive 1,650 stitches per minute, compared with 1,600 SPM on the HD9 Professional and HD8.

Designed Around Serious Sewing

The HD9QCP provides a 9" wide × 5.9" high workspace, with 3" of height beneath the face plate. The machine itself weighs approximately 32 lbs., giving it the substantial feel you'd expect from a machine designed for high-speed sewing.
